There were several parts of the project and Mayor Roy Olson proceeded with the hearing by starting in the north at Sixth Street and 16th Avenue and moving south all the way to Fifth Avenue and Railroad Avenue. A number of residents show up at the hearing. Many were in favor of the project, but a main concern was drainage in the Fifth Avenue area. Olson said they are looking into options to improve drainage and it could add $50,000 to $60,000 to the project. One option is to put storm drain in at all four corners of Fifth Avenue and Fifth Street and drain it to Fourth Street. A smaller culvert will be added under Sixth Street.
