• When his health began to fail he joined Sonnie at the Golden Living Center in Ipswich. Winston is remembered by the staff for his joy of singing.  His journey ended there on New Years Day, 2013.
•  Winston is survived by his children, Bryant Odland (Debbie Hofer) of Roscoe, Susie Ewinger,  Mary Ann (Holler) Stanley, of Scottsdale, AZ , Bradly Odland of Milwaukee, WI; his beloved sister Phyllis Blake of Sioux Falls, SD;  his grandchildren Winston (Flanna) Ewinger, Meredith (Damian) Ewinger-Lea,  Whitney (John) Buchanan, Russ Holler, Kirk (Shaina) Holler, Bennett Holler; and Hannah Odland;  and great- grandchildren Rory Maeve Ewinger, Jack and Charlie Buchanan.

Thune Announces New Committee Assignments for 113th Congress

•  WASHINGTON, D.C.--Senator John Thune (R-S.D.) today released the following statement after receiving his committee assignments for the 113th session of Congress (2013-2014). Thune was selected to continue serving on the following committees: Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry; Commerce, Science, and Transportation; and Finance. Members of these committees voted earlier today to select ranking members, and the full Republican conference will ratify those selections. Thune was elected as ranking member, or the senior most Republican, on the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee for the 113th Congress. Thune will continue to serve in Republican leadership as Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference.
