Strong Winds to Impact South Central Alaska

• A strong wind event will bring sustained wind speeds of 40 to 65 mph, with gusts topping 75 mph to portions of south central Alaska. Rain and snow will accompany this event, reducing visibility. Downed trees and power lines will be possible and drivers are warned to be extremely cautions during this event. The strong winds are expected to last through the evening hours today.
