Police investigating robbery at Sioux Falls store

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Sioux Falls convenience store on Christmas.
• Authorities say the incident occurred at the Get N Go store on Arrowhead Parkway at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday.
• A man allegedly came into the store armed with a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
• Police say the man fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash. No injuries were reported.


SD family wins free home

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A South Dakota family has won a free home in a drawing entered by more than 5,000 people from eight states.
• Elaine Keester of Scenic says she and her husband entered the drawing at Iseman Homes in Rapid City. They won a new double-wide trailer that has about 1,400 square feet of living space, two bathrooms and a patio.
• She tells KOTA-TV (http://bit.ly/W0T3Jv ) that she considers the new home a Christmas present. The couple's current home is more than 40 years old and was damaged by a small tornado about a year ago.
• Keester says the new home might not be installed until spring because the home site is located down about 15 miles of thin, winding road.


Last day to view Capitol Christmas display

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- Wednesday is the final day for residents to view the decorated Christmas trees in the South Dakota Capitol.
• The annual Christmas at the Capitol holiday display is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST.
• Representatives of organizations and communities who decorated the more than 90 trees will return to Pierre on Thursday to take them down.
• The tradition draws thousands to the Capitol each year.
• The featured tree in the Capitol rotunda is a 35-foot blue spruce decorated by Girls Scouts-Dakota Horizons, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
