• The Tigers had 17 rebounds with Sippel having five, 15 assists with Kurtz having six and Sippel three, and 16 turnovers with seven of them being steals.
The leaders for the Cardinals were Paige Heiberger with 12 and Erin Engelkes 10. The Cardinals had 13 assists, 23 rebounds and 17 turnovers with nine being steals and Wheeting having four of them.
Groton won the junior varsity game, 31-21. Tori Bjerke led the Tigers with eight points followed by Ashley Gibbs with five Maryn Howard, Amber Schuster, Marlee Jones and Natalia Dohman with four each and Carly Wheeting and Rachel Blackmun each having one.
• Deuel wins boys game
• The Tigers got off to a slow start in the second game of the double-header against Deuel on Thursday. The Cardinals were able to score eight unanswered points, before the Tigers were able to get on the boards. Two 3-point field goals by Deuel pushed the lead up to 12 points. Reilly Ell had two 3-pointers to assist the Tigers. The first quarter ended, 18-8.
