• Groton Area boys defeated Tiospa Zina on Tuesday, 65-45. Reilly Ell led the Tigers with 21 points, eight rebounds, one assist and four steals. Kyler Ell added 10 points, had three rebounds and two assists.
• Mason Madsen had eight points, 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals. Wyatt Lone had six points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kasey Kurtz added six points, had one rebound, three assists, and five steals. Parker Rossow had five points, two rebounds, one assist and three steals. Spencer Knecht had five points, one rebound and one assist. Luke Sternhagen had four points and Gabe Dohman had a rebound.
• Groton made 44 percent of its field goals while Tiospa Zina made 41 percent. The Tigers were 20 of 31 from the line off of Tiospa Zina's 22 team fouls while Tiospa Zina made four of eight free throws off of Groton's 12 team fouls. Groton had more assists, 12-10, and more blocks, 2-1. Groton had 17 turnovers, seven of which were steals. Tiospa Zina had 25 turnovers, 17 of which were steals.
• Groton won the junior varsity game, 47-42. Kyler Ell led the Tigers with 15 points followed by Spencer Knecht with 12, Jackson Doeden seven, Gabe Dohman six, Luke Sternhagen four, Matt Knecht two and Landon Larson one.
