• In team roping, header Trevor Brazile of Decatur, Texas, and heeler Patrick Smith of Lipan, Texas, remained atop the standings with $182,903 for Brazile and $184,403 for Smith after failing to record a time for the second consecutive round.
• Header Kaleb Driggers of Albany, Ga., who has earned $149,834, and heeler Jade Corkill of Fallon, Nev., who has made $145,743, are second after failing to place among the top six. Header Turtle Powell of Stephenville, Texas, and heeler Dugan Kelly of Paso Robles, Calif., won the round in 3.9.
• In saddle bronc riding, Jesse Wright of Milford, Utah, was bucked off, leaving his standings-leading total at $206,274. Wright also tops the NFR saddle bronc riding earnings race with $73,176.
• Wade Sundell of Boxholm, Iowa, also didn't place among the top six in round eight, but remained second in the standings with $163,458.
• Cody DeMoss of Heflin, La., who finished in a three-way tie for third with an 81.5 on Let Er Rip, leads in the NFR aggregate standings race with 629.5 points for eight rides. He's the lone competitor with eight successful rides. DeMoss also moved up to third in the standings with $146,582.
• Tyrell Smith of Cascade, Mont., won the round with an 84 on Cool Runnings.
• In tie-down roping, Tuf Cooper of Decatur, Texas, held the lead by finishing fourth in 8.2.
• Cooper has earned $184,199, second-place Justin Maass of Giddings, Texas, who placed fifth in 8.4, has made $175,509.
• Bradley Bynum of Sterling City, Texas, won the round in 7.2.
• In barrel racing, two-time and defending world champion Lindsay Sears of Nanton, Alberta, won the round in 13.69.
• NFR rookie Mary Walker of Ennis, Texas, who didn't place in the top six with a 14.10, stayed in front in the standings with $222,406. Second-place Brittany Pozzi of Victoria, Texas, who finished sixth in 13.92, has earned $194,224. Walker also leads all 2012 NFR competitors by earning $95,114.
• Kaley Bass of Kissimmee, Fla., who didn't finish among the top six, leads the NFR aggregate standings with a time of 111.75 for eight rides.
• In bull riding, J.W. Harris of Mullin, Texas, remained the leader despite being bucked off Western Hauler in 2.9 seconds. Harris has earned $192,971. Cody Teel
