Study looks at college's impact on reservation

• PINE RIDGE, S.D. (AP) -- Representatives from the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology are participating in a U.S. Department of Education research study that examines the university's impact on the Red Cloud School on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
• Two Mines' Youth Programs representatives are traveling to Pine Ridge on Wednesday to be interviewed by the Department of Education about the impact of its summer camps on reservation youth. Information provided by the School of Mines will be used in the study and also in a national guide.
• The two Mines' representatives will also make a presentation about the School of Mines to high school students.
