• On December 2, the 4-H Friendly Fellows and Daisies hosted a Christmas party at the American Legion Hall. It was a beautiful evening filled with lots of fun! Guest present included Verl and Mary Cutler, Jackie Pigott, Yvonne Gibbs, Bernice Doctor, Donna Rasmussen, Kenneth and Janet Frey, Mike and Terri Traxinger, Janice Fliehs, Janet Neff, Connie Anderson, Virginia Pulfrey, and Bonnie Sanderson. The 4-H families in attendance were John, Stacey, Kaitlyn, and Kennedy Anderson, Mark, Mandy, and Braden Boe, John, Kelly, and Kennedy Clark, Colby, Anissa, Carly, Clay, and Austin Crawford, Joshua, Annalisa, William. Lexi, and Grant Cutler, Lance, Joann, Kamryn, and Karsten Fliehs, Mike, Sara, Dylan, and Colin Frey, Kurtis, Tammy, Kassidy, and Kalli Larson, Wade, Renee, Breanna, Landon, Nicole, and Andrew Marzahn, Braden Miller, Melissa, Hanna, Mallory, and Tucker Miller, Jeanne, Hayden, and Madeline Reints, Carolyn, Justine, Sam, and Elizabeth Sanderson, Stacey, Hailey, Jonathan, Hannah, Jakob and Madelyne Sumption, Kent and Brayden Wieker, Stephan, Lynn, Madilyn and Nathan Wright, Russell, Janet, and Trey Wright.
• The leader Mike Frey introduced all of the 4-H members and Cloverbuds. Following the introductions the members sang Christmas carols and played card bingo. A slideshow was also shown to the guests about what the members do throughout the year. To close this warm and spirit filled evening the younger members passed out jam to the guests that the 4-H club had made.  Notes taken by Justine Sanderson.
• Friday evening, December 7th, Santa's helpers, Claremont Division, were recruited and asked to report for duty at the Don and Becky Wegleitner residence. A soup and ham sandwich meal was served first as Head Elf Becky has discovered that well fed workers accomplish more. The assigned duty was to fill stockings with candy to be given out during the Santa Day festivities held on Saturday. The recruits formed an impressive assembly line and exceeded projected results in record time. Those in attendance were Jr Patterson, Lee Loebs, Kyle, Tonya and Colt Hanson and Beverly Patterson.
• Santa made his way to Claremont's Legion Hall at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon along with his lovely wife, Mrs. Claus. They weren't able to bring the sleigh as it was still in the shop for some minor maintenance and repairs before the big day so they caught a ride in a shiny red fire truck. They gave candy filled stockings to kids of all ages and enjoyed visiting with all the people that had so eagerly awaited their arrival. Once again there were drawings for turkeys and the following were the lucky winners: Leah Luitjens, Kenny Murray, Carrie Walton, Ann Bailey, Darlyne Dull,
