High School Choir  - Mrs. Yeaton
Eight members of the High School Choir traveled to Rapid City for All State Chorus on October 26-27. Those that participated were Amanda Worlie (soprano), Danya Kindgen (soprano), Amy Hockhalter (alto), Laura Garcia (alto), Allen Baker (tenor), Matt Knecht (tenor), Luke Smith (bass), and Tyler Holm (bass).
• The High School Choir is working hard on our music for our Christmas Concert which will be held on Thursday, December 6.

Show Choir - Mrs. Yeaton
• 
The Show Choir has been learning choreography for our competition show. Our choreographer this year is Ben Eklund, a professional choreographer from Lincoln, Nebraska.
•  Thank you to anyone who purchased cookie dough from us back in October. Unfortunately, there have been some complaints about the cookie dough. If you feel you received a "bad batch" please contact me as soon as possible at malerie.yeaton@k12.sd.us and we will make it right with you.
•  The Show Choir students are currently selling tickets for our annual Tour of Homes which will be held on December 9. Tickets are $10 and will give you access to five beautiful homes in our town: Lisa Adler, Wendy and Glenn Cooper, Val and Duane Kavanaugh, Carla and Kelly Kjelden, and Lisa and Dennis Waletich. Thank you to those generous folks for helping us out!

7th Grade Social Studies - Mrs. Duncan
The students have been learning about countries in the western hemisphere. We have had one speaker come in and share about living in Brazil and many students bring in souvenirs, coins, and other articles from countries they or their family has visited. We have tried to be informed and learn what is going on in these countries today.


• 8th Grade Science - Mrs. Duncan
This year we have learned about minerals, rocks, the Periodic Table of the Elements, and other earth science topics. We are now starting work on Cybermission which is a program that the US  Army sponsors. It is a web-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) competition free for students in grades six through nine where teams can compete for State, Regional and National Awards while working to solve problems in their community. We had several winners at the
