Cold Air Plunging into the Deep South

• A widespread freeze is expected to impact portions of the Deep South and Southeast during the overnight hours this weekend. Temperatures are forecast to dip into the 20s across interior sections of the Gulf Coast states from Louisiana to northern Florida. Precautions should be taken to protect pets and sensitive plants.
