• The city was awarded at $12,000 grant for new playground equipment. It is a 50:50 match. Mayor Roy Olson said he is hoping to get donations to help pay for the city's share of the playground. He also added that he would like parent involvement with the selection of the playground.
• Paul Kosel attended the safety conference in Pierre and reported that once the new playground is put into place, new federal ADA regulations that went into effect on March 12, 2012, would go into effect for the city's park. The new regulations affect all public playground areas and the goal is to make all playgrounds ADA compliant. Kosel said that just because it may be commercial playground equipment does not mean it is acceptable for a public playground. A plan will need to be put into place for the rest of the park.
• City Finance Officer Anita Lowary gave the audit report. Financially, everything passed. There were some procedures that were recommended to be changed.
• The council approved the transfer of $120,000 in contingency into 43 different areas.
• A request for a handicapped sign for Cheri's on Main was dropped.
• Brett Anderson or Gary Heitmann were authorized to attend the annual WEB water meeting December 1 in Aberdeen.
• The four transformers at the north substation were declared as surplus. T & R Electric has purchased them at $5,000 each and will be picked up on Tuesday.
• The council granted free use of the community center for the annual Thanksgiv

• City employees were given a 75 cent an hour raise and will be given the opportunity to participate in the flex pay plan for medical reason.
