a new truck, it is hoped that no news is good news and that Groton's application is still being considered.
• The concrete pad in front of the fire hall in Groton has gone from bad to worse. A quote was given to remove the old pad and replace it with eight inch concrete with rebar came in much less than expected. The board would like to get more quotes, but in the meantime, the money will be earmarked in the budget to have the work done next spring or summer.
• The new budget for the year 2013 was worked on. With the needs of two fire stations to be considered, the dollar amounts for equipment, maintenance, wages and insurance were increased.
