that the trucks get in to be repaired and that the district look at replacing the hoses with a type of hose that is resistant to mold.
• The equipment wasn't the only thing in need of an upgrade. The bunker gear and SCBA's at the station are old, worn out and dirty.
• "The Bath Firemen need both wild land and structure bunker gear," Bahr said. "I would like to use the money left in the equipment budget to buy 3 or 4 sets of structure bunker gear."
• The board gave approval to purchase the gear. They will also look at using some grants to upgrade the SCBA's and maybe more bunker gear. Approval was also given by the board to set up a firemen certification class in Groton. All firemen need to be certified and with the number of firemen here that needs the class it makes sense to do the class here and be done in three to four months.
• The recent training sessions have gone well. There was a session in Groton last month on dealing with intensive heat fires and one near Pierpont where the firemen learned to deal with smoke and how to leave a building if primary exit is blocked. A thank-you letter will be sent to Full Circle Ag for the donation of the propane used last month.
• Dale Ringgenberg reported that six members of the rescue squad attended the EMT conference in Watertown. Those attending felt the sessions were good and that it was worth attending. Ringgenberg also noted that there will be a free training in March in Aberdeen on burns on children, sponsored by the Shriners Hospital and

that some have already indicated that they would like to attend.
