• One of the first things all FFA members learn is the FFA Creed, and Katie Miller learned it so well, she will advance to the State Contest. The Creed Speaking CDE is for FFA members in grades 7, 8, and 9. They must present the FFA Creed from memory and answer questions about its meaning and purpose. The event boosts self-confidence, develops their ability to communicate in a powerful, professional manner.
• Also advancing to the State contest is Joellen Gonsoir, she will participate in the Job Interview CDE. Participants in the Job Interview CDE submit a resume, complete job applications and participate in mock job interviews with a panel of possible employers.

Tyra Leonhardt in the Extemporaneous Public Speaking CDE. Participants in the Extemporaneous Public Speaking CDE are given 30 minutes to deliver a speech on one of three assigned agricultural topics. Students must learn to think on their feet and develop an argument quickly and persuasively.
