Quiet Weather Across Most of the Nation

The strong cold front that brought gusty winds and rain to much of the East on Veterans Day has finally pushed offshore. In its wake, cool and tranquil weather will dominate. In fact, there are no major weather systems in the western or central U.S. either. Elsewhere in the United States, a storm system in the Bering Sea is bringing strong winds, snow and freezing rain to southwest Alaska.
