Valley City State ends season No. 24 in NAIA poll

• BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The Valley City State University football team has ended the season as one of the top 25 NAIA teams in the country.
• The Vikings finished the season 7-3 and are ranked No. 24 in the final coaches' poll.
• No other team in the Dakotas is ranked. Georgetown of Kentucky is the top-ranked team. The 16-team NAIA playoffs begin Nov. 17.

• USF football team moves up to No. 21 in poll
• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- The University of Sioux Falls football team has moved up one spot to 21st in this week's AFCA Division II poll.
• The Cougars beat Wayne State 24-14 over the weekend to move to 9-2 on the season.
• No other NCAA Division II team in the Dakotas is ranked.
