Southerly winds will transport warmer air into the region today. Winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph along the Missouri River valley this afternoon. Cooler temperatures can be expected on Thursday behind a cold front. A low pressure system will move into the northern plains this weekend, bringing the next best chances for precipitation.
