•  I've noticed several of my friends on facebook are choosing to list something for each day of November that they are thankful for.  Isn't that a neat idea?  I haven't joined in yet but it's not too late to start.  I am blessed in so many ways and I know I'm guilty of taking lots of those things for granted.  I try not to grumble when I pay bills as I try to remember what service they're providing to me.  It's so nice to walk in a room and flick a switch and instantly have light.  I'm also sort of fond of turning on the faucets knowing there will be hot and cold running water or how about flicking a switch on a remote control and seeing all kinds of different programs on the television.  I think each and every one of us has something to be thankful for.  What's really fascinating to me is the fact that blessings can come in so many different ways.    Someone told me the other day when I was at work that he used to tell customers, when he worked retail, how each and every one of them was a blessing, some when they arrived and some when they were leaving.  I had to chuckle at him and got to thinking, I want to be the one that's a blessing when I arrive!
• Harley Gibbs was awarded the honor of "Student of the Month" for October at Langford Area Junior High School.  He is in the seventh grade and the son of Iver and Monica Gibbs.  Congratulations to Harley!  Good job!
• The American Legion Auxiliary entertained several little spooks at their annual Halloween Party held at the Claremont Legion Hall on October 31st.  They served their famous Witches Brew along with a light supper.  A good time was had by all.
• Pastor Nancy Manning traveled to Rosewood Court in Groton on Saturday No
