ceived a tip about them, and officers in Yankton arrested the men without incident Monday during a traffic stop.
• Two of the men allegedly robbed Casey's General Store and one of its customers at knifepoint late Sunday, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash. The third suspect allegedly was the getaway driver.
• The suspects were arrested on charges of robbery and possessing stolen property. Police did not disclose details about the alleged stolen property.

Mount Marty instructors honored for prison classes

• YANKTON, S.D. (AP) -- The Yankton Federal Prison Camp has honored two associate English professors at Mount Marty College for classes they teach to inmates at the prison in Yankton.
• Cynthia Binder and Jim Reese have received distinguished service recognition awards.
• Reese established the prison camp's first creative writing workshop and publishing course, editing a yearly journal that features creative writing and visual artwork by inmates.
• Binder helped start the education program at the prison camp. She currently teaches a class on great directors and their films.
• Mount Marty College has been offering college courses at the prison camp for nearly 23 years.

SD farmers finish up row crop harvest

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Farmers in South Dakota have been finishing up the row crop harvest, hauling grain and embarking on fall tillage thanks in part to fairly quiet weather this past week.
• The U.S. Department of Agriculture says in its weekly crop and weather report that farmers have also been haying, fertilizing and moving cattle to stubble fields as they prepare for winter.
• Soil temperatures recovered somewhat in places as dry soil conditions responded to slightly warmer air temperatures.
• Winter wheat was 33 percent emerged, behind the five year average of 93 percent emerged. Ninety-five percent of the sunflower crop was harvested, ahead of last year's 91 percent and the five year average of 59 percent.
• Cattle conditions are rated 74 percent good to excellent, 23 percent fair and 3
