Gant Warns of Erroneous Mailings

• PIERRE, SD - Secretary of State Jason Gant wants to warn all voters to be cautious about recent mailings from outside groups detailing where your polling place is on Election Day.  Numerous complaints from across the state regarding mailers informing voters of incorrect voting locations have been received by Secretary of State's office.
•  "If you are unsure of your polling place, I would highly recommend that you visit www.sdsos.gov to confirm the location of your correct polling place," said Secretary Gant.  Gant continued, "This type of erroneous information causes confusion among voters as they are preparing to vote in Tuesday's election.  The best advice is to go to www.sdsos.gov and confirm your voter registration, where you vote, and your sample ballot."
• A Political Action Committee called Every Vote Counts PAC is responsible for this statewide mailing listing incorrect polling locations to voters in at least Stanley and Pennington Counties.
• Democrat Party Chairman Ben Nesselhuf has confirmed that incorrect information regarding polling locations was mailed late last week, and they are attempting to contact those voters with the correct information.
• All voting information can be obtained from the Secretary of State's website www.sdsos.gov or by contacting your local County Auditor's office.
