Fairly Calm Weather Expected Across the U.S. This Weekend

Most of the U.S. is expected to experience fairly calm weather through Sunday. Snow in the Northern Plains and Northeast will be one exception, and thunderstorms from the Southern Plains to Florida will be another. Attention will then turn to a potential storm affecting the East Coast next week. It is not expected to be as strong as Sandy, but it could potentially hamper recovery efforts.
