• With the exception of a few flakes October has been pretty well behaved in my opinion.  I sort of hate to see it leave us but I guess it will make another appearance again next year.  The old maple tree that towers over the spot I park my car has begun to decorate the area around it with thousands of leaves and I wouldn't be surprised to walk out one of these days and wonder where my car is.  I suppose it wouldn't take that long to figure it out but I do have days when I actually get to work before I realize I have my shirt on backwards so I guess anything is possible.  Years ago my co-workers stole my car and caused a good share of the gray hair I have and if any of them figure out where I live now I'm in big trouble because they had way too much fun seeing me hysterical.  Moments like that should never be revisited by the victim but the conspirators usually never see it that way.  I'll keep you posted.
• What's scary for you, the readers, is that fact that some week, I may actually forget to report the news because I got off on another ridiculous tangent but so far, this week, we should be ok.  Here goes, ready or not!
• John Freeland, Virginia Pulfrey, Dean Pulfrey of Aberdeen, Bill Freeland of Oakes ND, and Nellie Brademeyer of Hecla got together on Tuesday and drove to Cambridge MN to visit their cousins Dale Buffington and his sister, Bonnie (Mr and Mrs Jerry Doble). Dale's daughter Patti joined them and Bill, John and Dale called on Marion and Myron Elsberry.  The Elsberrys and Dale and Bonnie all live in the
