• As we reflect on yet another week I can't help but wonder what everyone is planning to be for Halloween.  I haven't decided yet but if I do attend a party I am leaning towards a Raggedy Ann costume but who knows what will actually transpire.  I'm thinking it might end up being something a bit less structured but you just never know.  Years ago, when we were too old to trick or treat,  Stephanie Thompson and I decided to dress up and we walked all over town on Halloween night.  No one could figure out who we were but we sure got a lot of attention.  I dressed up like an old man and because we didn't have a mask for her we stretched our imaginations and turned her into Cousin It.  Her mask consisted of one macramé ring and several hundred strands of brown macramé cord tied onto the ring, unraveled and brushed out to look like hair.  The only glitch with her mask was the fact that she couldn't see anything when she had it on.  I suppose she may have been able to peer through the strands a bit but we decided she should wear sunglasses as we wanted everyone to be able to tell which way her face faced! I'm not sure why that was important but at the time it seemed like a big deal.  I led her all over town and had pictures taken by several curious people that we visited.  We got lots of great candy and had a wonderful time.  No one actually figured out who we were so eventually we did confess.  That Halloween sparked several more years of dressing up and attending costume parties.  Becky Wegleitner constructed Sylvester and Tweety costumes and we found out at one party that we weren't the only ones with those costumes and we ended up with a lot of new friends as the other pairs' friends thought we
