Sanford Health dedicates $8.5 million to endowment

• BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Dakotas-based Sanford Health is dedicating $8.5 million to be used as matching funds for an endowment campaign as part of its recent merger with Bismarck-based Medcenter One.
• Sanford says it will match donations to The Builders of Excellence Endowment Campaign dollar for dollar. It also is dedicating another $1.5 million to immediately enhance Sanford programs, services and initiatives in the Bismarck region.
• Sanford is based in Sioux Falls, S.D., and Fargo, N.D. It merged with Medcenter One in July, and Sanford officials announced they would invest $200 million over the next decade in health care in the Bismarck area and western North Dakota.
