Traveling Holocaust exhibit opening at USD

• VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) -- A U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum traveling exhibit examining the role scientists and doctors played in the Holocaust is set to open this week at the University of South Dakota.
• The exhibit, titled "Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race," shows how Nazi leaders used science to help legitimize persecution, murder and genocide. It opens Thursday and runs through Jan. 6 at University Libraries on the USD campus.
• The exhibit is free and open to the public.
• Interim Dean of Libraries Daniel L. Daily says in a news release that University Libraries is proud to host the exhibit because it encourages people to critically examine the past and its ramifications in the present day.

Cowboys C Costa carted off field with leg injury

• CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Dallas Cowboys starting center Phil Costa has been carted off the field with his right leg in an air cast and will not return against the Carolina Panthers.
• He's been replaced by Ryan Cook.
• The injury occurred in the second quarter after Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin fumbled downfield and Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly recovered and attempted to return the ball. As the Panthers began blocking for a return, Costa got caught up in the fray of the play's quick change of direction.
• Immediately after the play it appeared the injury was a bad one as Panthers receiver Steve Smith came off the sidelines and began calling to trainers to bring on a cart.
• Costa started three games this season and all 16 last year for the Cowboys.

UCI agrees to strip Armstrong of his 7 Tour titles

• GENEVA (AP) -- Cycling's governing body agreed Monday to strip Lance Armstrong of his seven Tour de France titles and ban him for life, following a report from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that accused him of leading a massive doping program on his teams.
• UCI President Pat McQuaid announced that the federation accepted the
