• Heupel tells the Rapid City Journal (http://bit.ly/Ruzk46 ) the boy resisted police and his 10-year-old brother then threw a metal bicycle peg, kicked one of the officers and hit the other in the head with a skateboard.
• Both boys were taken to a juvenile services center.
• Heupel says the 10-year-old is accused of assaulting a law officer and obstructing police. The 15-year-old is accused of simple assault, consumption of alcohol by a minor, and threatening law officers.

SDSU football team to play Gophers in 2015, 2019

• BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota State University has lined up another football game against the University of Minnesota in the coming years.
• The Jackrabbits will play the Gophers on Sept. 3, 2015, and on Aug. 29, 2019. Both games will be at Minnesota.
• The two schools last met on the gridiron in 2009, with Minnesota winning 16-13.
• SDSU plays in the Football Championship Subdivision. It now has five games lined up in future years against Football Bowl Subdivision teams: at Nebraska next year, at Missouri in 2014, at Iowa State in 2018, and the two Minnesota games.

WI man sentenced for illegally shooting SD buffalo

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A Wisconsin man has been put on probation for a year and fined $5,000 for killing a buffalo in Badlands National Park in South Dakota.
• U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says 42-year-old Joseph Wilmet pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of unlawful taking of wildlife. He also was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution to the park.
• Authorities say the Green Bay man shot the buffalo in November 2010 and partially butchered it.
