Strong low pressure will move from southern Canada today into the Minnesota/Wisconsin region by Thursday. This system will bring very strong winds to the region today, with numerous warnings and advisories in place due to the wind speeds. Critical fire danger will also develop today across central South Dakota into the James River valley as the very strong winds will combine with low humidity and extremely dry fuels.
