WEB Water Development Association, Inc Annual Members Meeting  December 1, 2012

• WEB Water will hold its Annual Members Meeting on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Ramkota-Convention Center in Aberdeen.  The meeting is open to all members.
• Three director positions are up for election.  The deadline for filing petitions is 4:30 pm, Monday, November 5, 2012.  Two rural director positions and one municipal position are up for election.  Petitions and instructions can be secured from the WEB Water Office at 38462 US Highway 12, Aberdeen, SD 57401, by phone (605) 229-4749 or by email at doberle@webwater.org
• The one open municipal position represents District #7 which includes towns and bulk users in McPherson, Edmunds, Faulk, Campbell, Walworth, Potter & Hyde Counties in South Dakota and Emmons & McIntosh Counties in North Dakota.  The incumbent director, Gordon Quaschnick, Herreid, SD, is not seeking re-election to a third term.
• One of the two open rural director positions represents District #3 which includes rural Brown County.  The incumbent director Arnie Goldade, Aberdeen, SD, is seeking re-election to a second term.
• The other open rural position represents District #4 which includes rural Campbell & McPherson Counties in South Dakota and Emmons & Dickey Counties in North Dakota.  The incumbent director Mike Neuharth, Eureka, SD, is seeking re-election to a third term. 
• Any number of candidates can file petitions for the positions.  To qualify a person must have a hookup in the rural district they are seeking election or be a resident of a town or bulk user in the district area they are seeking election to.
• Directors may serve a total of three 3 year terms for a total of 9 years.  The WEB Water Board meets on the third Thursday of each month and provides review and oversight of the rural water system which covers 17 counties.  WEB Water has been providing water service to customers since May 26, 1986 and currently serves over 8,200 rural meters, 105 towns and bulk users, and 5 ethanol plants.
