drought impacts to continue into the spring.
• One positive impact of the ongoing drought is that harvest is well ahead of schedule for soybeans and corn, according to the USDA report.
• Soybeans are 94 percent harvested, up from 61 percent last year at this time, and well ahead of the 5-year average of 43 percent.  Corn is currently 78 percent harvested, considerably up from 15 percent at this time last year, also well ahead of the 5-year average of 12 percent for this same week.
