week.  Ann Bailey had three days of visitors this past week.  On Wednesday Ann's daughter Bonita and her husband Dick Edwards of Hecla dropped in.  On Thursday Ann enjoyed a visit with her granddaughter Jamie Walton and Jamie's fiance' Dustin Bergland both of Jamestown.  On Friday Ann's daughter, Carrie Walton of Hecla stopped by.  What a great three days it was for Ann. 
• On Thursday Carol Hanse's best friend from high school paid her a visit.  Ginny Tisher Gray lives in Canada.  She spent the afternoon sharing stories and catching up with Carol.  I'm told they had a wonderful time.
• The Langford Area Jr and Sr High School band marched in the Gypsy Day parade in Aberdeen Saturday morning, October 6th.
• This past week Yvonne Gibbs and Gerald Applebee traveled to Audubon Iowa and enjoyed a visit with Brett and Lora Gibbs.  They attended a concert benefiting the Audubon County Hospital Foundation featuring Simon Estes' bass baritone.  They then traveled through Sioux Falls making a stop in Canton SD to see Andrew, Sara, Carsen, and Ellie Steffensen.  Tim and Heidi Steffensen, Lauren Olerud, and Nate Zeeb were also there.  While there they were able to help with the finishing of the lower level of the Steffensen's Canton home.  Tim and Heidi Steffensen recently accepted positions with the school system in Brookings and made a move there earlier this year.
• Joyce Dykema. Mother of Lora Gibbs and mother-in -law to Brett Gibbs passed away October 3rd.  Before her illness she lived in Murdo SD but at the time of her death she was a resident at a nursing home in Pierre SD.
• Becky Wegleitner's apple trees and carrot seeds were more than generous this year so on Sunday October 7th she invited Alvina Opitz and Marge Krista from Eden
