• I've heard people say that as they grow older, time seems to go by so much faster.  It seems like I was just sitting at my computer putting some thoughts into print and like magic, it's a week later and I'm at it again!  I would first like to thank all of you that complimented me on my first attempt at the Claremont News.  Encouragement is always welcome and it's very much appreciated!  With that being said, you're stuck with me again this week. 
• As I sit here, at my computer, I can't help but notice the sound of attic flies banging themselves repeatedly on my ceiling and wonder to myself, how could there be a valid reason for that type of behavior.  It sort of makes me glad that I'm not an attic fly but if you think about it, life is sort of like that sometimes.  We meet our busy selves coming and going and if you're like me, you sometimes forget to take a deep breath and give yourself some time to enjoy some of the simple treasures that surround us daily.  My life has gone through some pretty big changes in the past few months and I decided to simply take "one day at a time."  I was visiting with an amazing woman yesterday that has celebrated a few more birthdays than me and she thought the day at a time thing was a good idea but said that she's found taking a half a day at a time works even better.  I'm going to try that, just not on Monday as nobody needs a Monday to feel like it lasted two days!
