• Groton's defense pushed Mobridge-Pollock back on its next possession. On fourth and 16, Mobridge-Pollock punted and Groton took over on its own 43 yard line.  A combination of Kurtz, Nick Johnson and Jackson Doeden carrying the ball took Groton down to the two yard line. • "We got up on them early and sometimes when you do that, it's a deep hole to dig out of," Wanner said. "I told the kids at halftime that we needed one more touchdown and to keep the pressure on."
• Toby Carda had a punt return of 19 yards to put Groton on the Mobridge-Pollock 26  yard line.  Kurtz had a 10 yard carry and then went right up the middle from nine yards out to score on the two-play, two first-down in 29 second drive. Duncan kicked the PAT and it was a 28-0 Groton lead with 6:16 left in the third quarter.
• Mobridge-Pollock would have its only score of the game in a drive that stretched two quarters. With 2:03 left in the third quarter, Mobridge-Pollock would start on its own 16 yard line. On fourth and six, Mobridge-Pollock would fake a punt and go for a first down, which they got, to keep the drive alive. Rossow nearly intercepted the ball early in the fourth quarter as the ball went in and out of his hands. Mason Keller would catch a pass from Alex Greger and would go 54 yards to score for Mobridge-
