Dirty thief? South Dakota man reports stolen soap

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- When a Rapid City man awoke to take a shower, he noticed something was missing from his bathroom: his bar of Dove soap.
• Police say that's how the man figured out early Thursday that his house had been hit by a dirty thief.
• Police spokeswoman Tarah Heupel (hew'PUHL) says that the victim also tells officers that a laptop was stolen. No other items are reported as missing.
• The burglary was in the 3000 block of Sunset Drive in the western South Dakota city. The man reported that when he went to bed Wednesday night, everything was fine.
• Huepel says police are "on it."
