Driving it Home

• Well my Boomer friends, the Government Accountability Office (which I believe is a contradiction of terms) has stated that by 2030 there will be 57 million Boomers that have become "senior drivers".  In light of this, there is some concern about our driving safety.
• This might be a scary thought but current research shows that Boomers are actually safe drivers. Senior accidents have actually gone down in number. The research was done by me surveying some senior friends. I think this is just as accurate as any information we get from the mass "mislead ya media". I think we are safer drivers because we are more polite and respectful than many younger drivers. Forty to Fifty years ago when we learned to drive it was a more polite, respectful time. I don't need a survey to prove we were more polite and respectful then, it is just a fact. I just said so. It was helpful that we didn't grow up witnessing road rage. We were taught to be polite and wave at our fellow drivers with the whole hand instead of one finger. We would lip-sync "sorry" if we forgot to signal. Some would signal with a friendly hand up or peace sign when they were let into a line. It still happens but not enough. I was recently driving on the interstate in the right lane. I wasn't turning or passing just driving straight when a car on my left begins quickly drifting toward me. I reacted by quickly jerking my steering wheel and pulling to the right avoiding a collision. The driver and passenger in the other car were having a bit of
