yard line. "Travis Kurth did a great job with the kids on defense," Wanner said. "We worked a lot on defense in practice this week. Britton-Hecla throws a lot of different things at you so you never know what to expect."
• Groton's drive would be short lived as a bad snap and three incomplete passes would turn the ball over on downs at the Britton 25 yard line. The Braves did not get a first down and had to punt.

• Toby Carda would return the ball about 25 yards to put the Tigers on the Britton-Hecla 47 yard line with 9:22 left in regulation. The drive was not going well. After getting one first down, Groton was going the other way and ended up third and 23. Carda would make a catch and dart 42 yards for a first down and it gave the drive a breath of fresh air. Groton was now at the three-yard line. Kurtz carried the ball twice, but could not penetrate the Britton-Hecla defensive line. On third and four, Wanner called time. "We needed this score," Wanner said. But the next play was an incomplete pass to Madsen. Wanner called time out again on fourth and goal from the four. "We had one more chance to score. We had to make sure everyone knew what they were suppose to do," Wanner said, "especially with a group of young
