back to the 21 yard line. Then on second and 20, Landon Olson would make his second interception of the game and this time, he would wheel 90 yards to score with 18 seconds left in the half. The PAT kick was no good and the Braves took a 20-12 lead at halftime.
• "The kids were hanging their heads at halftime," Wanner said. "That was a big play and it took the wind out of us. I compared it to a boxer. We had been taking the punches and have been on the ropes. I told the kids that we had to start punching back and that we had to toughen up. We were only behind by eight points and it was time for us to start playing like I know they are capable of playing."
• Groton came out storming in the second half. Starting on its own 38 yard line, the Tigers would get down to the Britton 1 yard line. But the storm was short lived. Rossow was sacked and the Tigers had a penalty. Madsen would make a catch to get Groton down to the three yard line. On fourth and goal from the three, the Tigers had a bad snap and lost their golden scoring opportunity.

• Britton threatened to score late in the third quarter. Caleb Wenz would make a big gain and got the ball down deep into Groton territory, but a holding penalty recalled the play. The Britton drive would be stopped early in the fourth quarter when Spencer Knecht would intercept the ball and return it to the Britton 29
