• Groton High School Varsity Boys Soccer played St. Tomas More on Saturday, September 22nd during the Groton Parents Day games.  The team had played a very tough week of soccer with Saturday's match-up being the 4th game played - and the 4th game won.
• The game started with a goal by St. Tomas More - a high ball that curved into the net at the 36:30 mark.  The Groton team followed with a score at 9:13 when Sheady Htoo sent a corner kick into the net area that Kapow Htoo finished off for the goal.   The Groton team had several scoring opportunities at the end of the first half and converted again at 2:52 to take the 2-1 lead with a goal by Toby Carda (assist by  Nikolai Pyatt). 
• In the second half, St. Tomas More scored at the 7:50 mark on a free kick.  Groton's Nikolai Pyatt followed up with a goal at 4:27 with an assist from Luke Sternhagen.  The game ended with Groton winning 3-
