• A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Alex Stange and second by Hannah Webb.
• Talks were given by Tara Telkamp- "selecting toys", "spring shape up", and "mulching a vegetable garden".  Lane Krueger- "Mark Sanchez" and Makayla Jones - "Arabian Horses ".  Alexandra Stange gave a demonstration on "paper plate may day baskets" which were then made by members and distributed to Rosewood Court as a community service project.

• The May meeting of the Lazy Farmers was held on May 5^th, 2012 at the Amy and Jeremy Krueger's home.
• The 4-H pledge was led by Lane Krueger and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Maryn Howard.  The Roll Call topic was "Name something in a First Aide Kit".
• There was no secretary's report.  The treasure's report was given by Alex Stange and was passed by Maryn Howard and seconded by Tessa Erdmann. 
• Old Business included fruit sales, attendance and e-mails.
• New Business was the newshound and future events.  Brown County 4-H is going to hire a summer assistant;  to apply you must be 18 or older, and the salary is $8/hour.  4-H demonstration day is July 12^th at 9am.  4-H Royalty applications are due on May 11^th at the 4-H office.  On Monday August 13^th will be the non-livestock judging for  the Brown County fair from 3-6pm at the Brown County Fair Grounds.  May 25^th is when final enrollment is due.  May 18^th is the market hog and sheep weigh -in at the fair grounds.  The breeding animal affidavit deadline is May 25^th.  Horse practice will be held on May 16^th at 6pm at the fair grounds.  On May 30, there will be horse judging practice at the fair grounds at 7 pm.
• The next meeting will be held on June 4, 2012 at 7pm in the Groton Community Center.  The Leonhardt & Sombke families will bring treats.
• The meeting was adjourned by Jacob Harms and the motion was seconded by Mark Leonhardt.
