Bulldogs win homecoming game over Groton Area

It was a game of big plays of which Milbank Area had plenty of them as the Bulldogs celebrated a homecoming victory over Groton Area, 31-0.
• "We were inconsistent," said Coach Shaun Wanner. "We moved the ball well at times offensively. I know the kids are working and playing hard and when I look out on the field, I see 10 new players. Most of them have not played varsity football, except for Dalton Locke. In the last few years, we've had a lot of senior and juniors who were on the field. You won't see a lot of teams with as many sophomores playing like us."
• Taylor Tol found some big openings and used his quickness to score all three of Milbank's first half touchdowns.
• The first touchdown drive went 66 yards in 86 seconds, there were two first downs and two plays as Tol caught a pass from Taylor Boerger for a 52 yard touchdown. The PAT kick was blocked by Dalton Locke.
• On Milbank's next possession, Tol scored on a 64 yard run. That drive went 76 yards in 76 seconds, three first downs and three plays. The PAT pass was no good.
• Groton managed to get down to the Milbank 29 yard line before Issac Lindquist intercepted the ball. The Bulldogs would score 2:12 later after four first downs, 63 yards and six plays. Milbank scored six seconds into the sec
