SF Christian girls beat Groton in soccer

The Groton Lady Tigers traveled to Sioux Falls on Saturday September 8th to take on the Sioux Falls Christian Charges.  The Lady Tigers found it tough to score due to a combination of a stiff wind, artificial turf and a tough Charge defense.  The Tigers were able to final put the ball in the net with approximately 10 minutes to go in the first half.  Cheyenne Schaller was able to get free and put shot to the lower left corner past the Christian Goalie.  The Tigers had a number of chances during the game but were not able to tally another score.  Marlee Jones was in the goal for both halves.  For the most part the Groton defense was able to keep the ball away from the goal.  Marlee made a great save late in the second half as the Chargers were able to move the ball into the penalty area in an attempt to score.
The Tigers now have a 10-day break before playing Aberdeen Central at home on September 18th at 3pm.
