Hollywood chosen as Homecoming Theme

• "Hollywood" has been selected as this year's Homecoming theme. Homecoming week is September 17 through September 21. The week will kick-off with the crowning of the Homecoming royalty on Monday evening at 7:30 in the GHS gym, followed by the burning of the 'G'.
• Dress up days are as follows: Monday - Glitz Day (sparkles); Tuesday - Senior Citizen Day; Wednesday - Red Carpet Day (Formal Dress-up Day); Thursday - Tacky Tourist Day and Friday - Black and Gold Day.
• There are several sporting events during the week. The cross-country team will travel to Deuel on Monday. The volleyball team will host Warner on Tuesday and the soccer teams will take on Aberdeen. The volleyball team will take the court again on Thursday against Roncalli and the Football team will host Redfield/Doland in the Homecoming game on Friday.
• Friday's activities include float building in the morning, the parade at 1 pm, followed by the carnival. The Kiwanis will host a tailgate party at 5 pm prior to the Homecoming game kick off at 7:30.
• The elementary school will also have some special things planned for Friday. The students will have their DSTEP prize giveaway in the morning along with the National Blue Ribbon Celebration and the Homecoming "Kiss the Pig" contest.
• Both schools with have a picnic lunch before being dismissed on Friday.
