Class of 1962 Plans Reunion

(Why don't you come out) to my twist party; (Come out) Where the bright moon shines; (Come out); We'll dance the night away; I'm gonna make-a you mi-yi-yi-yine
• Remember the rest of the words to the song? How about dancing the twist, the stomp or even the mashed potato? If you do, you probably graduated from high school in the 60s and your presence is wanted by the GHS Class of 1962.
• Classmates from Texas, Minnesota, Virginia, North Dakota, Kansas and of course South Dakota will be attending the 50th Class Reunion of the GHS Class of 1962 during this year's Homecoming Celebration on September 21. Those traveling from some distance plan on staying at the Guest House in Groton and that will be the reunion headquarters. GHS students from other classes are invited to stop in anytime during the day or evening.
• "We are going to sit around and tell stories about high school experiences and

about our lives over the past 50 years," Steve Dresbach, said. "Several of us haven't seen one another since graduation 50 years ago."
• The core group of people planning this event include: Kathy (Tastad) Erickson, Margaret (Rossow) Marten, Corrine (Foss) Sharp and Steve Dresbach. They would like to invite other GHS classes to join them.
• "Attending school in Groton built strong, friendships not only with our classmates, but with students in other classes," Dresbach said. "We hope many of those students will come join us in our celebration and in our getting reacquainted."
• The GHS Class of 1962 is also planning an entry in the homecoming parade.
