Mary Roduner Joins SDSU Extension as Consumer Horticulture Field Specialist

• Brookings, S.D. - Mary Ruduner has been hired as the SDSU Extension Consumer Horticulture Field Specialist, pending Board of Regents approval.
• Mary Roduner be located at the SDSU Extension Regional Center in Rapid City and will work extensively with the Master Gardener program, including

Master Gardener training and support, along with providing other educational programming for consumer yard and garden interests. She will also be available to answer gardening and garden insect questions.
• Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture from South Dakota State University, and an Master of Science degree in Entomology from Oklahoma State University with an emphasis in Pest Management. She comes to SDSU Extension from Kansas City, where she worked the last seven years for Kansas City Community Gardens. During her time there, she specialized in children's gardening as the coordinator of The Beanstalk Children's Garden in addition to working with community gardens, adult education, greenhouse plantings, and community outreach.
