work until their retirement in 1999. John Luce, Jr. purchased the funeral home in June of 2002 from ECI. After his untimely death, the funeral home was again sold to his employee, Andrea Snoozy Bahr in October of 2006.
• Andrea was raised in the South Shore/Twin Brooks area and attended South Dakota State University in Brookings. Upon completing the pre-mortuary program at SDSU she continued her education in Dallas, Texas. Andrea graduated in December of 1998 from

Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. She returned to South Dakota to complete her apprenticeship, working at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel. During this time, she continued her education at Northern State University, earning a degree in Business Management. She and her husband, Brian, welcomed their first child, Nolan, in April of 2011.
• Andrea continued to use the facility until now. The building was torn down Thursday, August 30 to make room for the new building that is scheduled to open the spring of 2013. While the new building is under construction, a temporary location has been set up directly west of the site, in the Pioneer Ford Showroom building. Andrea says she will continue to serve the needs of the community with only a few small changes.
• "Visitation and services will be held in the churches," Bahr said. "We just don't have the space now, and most families hold services in their home church anyway."

• Funeral Chapel has served the communities of Groton, Andover, Claremont, Pierpont, Ferney and Conde since its beginning in 1887 and hopes to continue serving for many more years to come.
