off the season with a game against Belle Fourche on August 18 in Rapid City. The Tigers lost the game, 1-2 with Nikolai Pyatt scoring Groton's lone goal.
• The Tigers then traveled to Huron on August 21 to take on the Huron Tigers. Groton was able to control the field and won, 5-1.
• Nikolai Pyatt scored in the first half of the game to put the Tigers on the board. Ehkhu Poe, with an assist from Toby Carda, scored the second Tiger goal. Team work led to the third Tiger

goal as Carda was given a free kick; he passed the ball to Jacob Milbrandt, who in turn passed off to Pyatt to score the goal.
• During the second half of the game, Carda sent a corner kick to Jarrett Adler, who headed the ball in to the net to score. Pyatt made the final goal of the game with a strong shot from outside the 18.
• The Lady Tigers also took the home field for the first time this season, against Mitchell. The defeated the Kernels, 2-1.
