• The City of Groton has donated the use of the pool during the school day to the school district.
• "The city has generously allowed us to use the pool free of charge as it is not being utilized during the school day," Dalchow said. "The school is supplying the certified lifeguards for supervision."

0469: Students enjoyed diving for rings as they appreciated the cooling effect of the Groton pool on Tuesday.

• All students, K-5, are allowed to go as long as they have their parent's permission and have brought a swimsuit to wear in the pool. With the week's forecast indicating the continuation of high temperatures and humidity, the school has made arraignment's to use the pool all week.
• "We have it set up for the rest of the week due to the high heat indexes in the classroom and the fact that the pool is still open," Dalchow said.
• However, Groton has decided to let students out early today due to the high temperature forecasts.
