Expansion of Corn Palace may mean City Hall move

• MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) -- The quest to provide more room for tourists at Mitchell's Corn Palace may result in City Hall being moved elsewhere.
• City Hall is connected to the Corn Palace, and Mitchell Mayor Ken Tracy says it could be turned into space for a museum, a gift shop, a theater and exhibits.
• Mitchell city councilors are drafting a new budget, and a decision on whether to

move could come within a few weeks.
• The Mitchell Technical Institute has offered the city space in a campus building. Needed renovations and some extra space would cost about $2.1 million.
• Another option is a new building closer to downtown Mitchell. Tracy tells KELO-TV (http://bit.ly/TBHPN0 ) that option would cost at least $3 million, and that's not counting the cost of buying the land.

SD man, Georgia woman die in Wyo. head-on crash

• LUSK, Wyo. (AP) -- A South Dakota man and a woman from Georgia are dead after a head-on collision in eastern Wyoming.
• The Wyoming Highway Patrol said 66-year-old Sandra Frazier's Dodge Caravan crossed over into oncoming traffic on U.S. Highway 85 about 27 miles north of Lusk on Sunday. The Dodge hit a Gulf Stream motorhome carrying the Henriksen family form Rapid City, South Dakota. Sixty-seven-year-old Alan C. Henriksen died at the scene.
• Troopers don't know yet why Frazier, of Columbus, Georgia, crossed into oncoming traffic. The crash happened on a straight and level section of the highway and the weather was fair.
