Non-Resident Enrollment
For out-of-district students, applications to "open enroll" may be accepted throughout the year.  Applications are available from any school district administrative office.  All open enrollment requests and related questions should be referred to school superintendent, Laura Schuster, at 397-2351.

Groton Area Elementary: 8:15 AM - Arrival Time (Supervision)
8:25 AM - 3:10 PM -- Classes in Session
Groton Area MS/HS:   8:25 AM - First Bell
8:30 AM - 3:18 PM -- Classes in Session

Athletic Physicals
In accordance with SDHSAA regulations, each student (grades 7-12) who intends to participate in athletic competition is required to have an athletic physical prior to participation, including practice. 

1st practice for HS boys' golf  Monday, August 6
1st practice for HS soccer   Monday, August 6
1st practice for HS football  Monday, August 13
1st practice for HS volleyball  Monday, August 13
1st practice for HS cross country Monday, August 13
1st JH practices      First week of school

Since the athletic physical requirements are more comprehensive and are required only every third year, parents are advised to make appointments directly with their family physician or chiropractor.  Any questions may be directed to head coaches or athletic director, Brian Schuring (397-8381).
