Dylan Krueger called "Dog Obedience Basics".  Amanda Kettelson was hostess for the meeting. 

     The Putney Putovers 4-H Club met August 6, 2012 at the Groton Community Center.  President Ashley Gibbs led the meeting and roll call was answered with "Your Favorite 4-H project for the Fair".  Amanda Kittelson led the US Flag Pledge, Kody Lehr led the State Pledge and Josie LaMee led the 4-H Pledge.  The secretary's report was read and approved with motions made by Carly Wheeting and Portia Kettering.  The treasurer's report was read and approved .  Leader Chris Wheeting had a bill for picture developing and supplies.  The bill was voted on favorably to be paid by the club.  Our community service report was given by Alexis Hanten who served at Mass , cleaned the Hoven Park and watered flowers and  a garden for  her great aunt.  Portia Kettering also reported that she pulled weeds at the park and babysat for her cousin.  Taryn Taylor's community service project is to mow his church lawn.  Important dates were given for the fair.  Entering projects is Monday, August 13 from 3:00-6:00pm and the release of projects is Sunday, August 19th from 5:30-7:00.  Membership ID cards and record book covers were passed out to club members.  Volunteers are needed for the fair-Building Monitors-Jamie Simon and Joann Donley and Liz Doeden and Kara Pharis will assist.  Volunteers for tear down on August 19-Tenille Taylor, Joann Donley, Kody Lehr, Chris Wheeting and Michelle Johnson.  Jamie Simon, Ann Gibbs, Michelle Johnson and Joann Donley have volunteered to help with judging, and Liz Doeden and Kara Pharis have volunteered to help set up the 4-H project booth on Monday, August 13th.  Our next meeting will be Monday, September 10, 2012 at 6:00pm.  Alexis and Lucas Simon will be the host/hostesses and Carly Wheeting  and Shyla Larson will report on community service.   Emma Donley made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Tage Taylor seconded it.  Talks were given by:  Brenna Johnson-"What the 4-H Club Pledge Means" and Kody Lehr-"Signs for Safety".  A demonstration was given by Amanda Kittelson-"How to Make a Duck Tape Bracelet".  Every member was reminded that record books are due at the end of September and were given a website to find forms.  Abby and Ashley Gibbs were hostesses for the meeting.
